AWO – The Autobiography of Chief Obafemi Awolowo

‘Anything, though ever so little, which a man speaks of himself in my opinion is still too much.’ So says John Dryden. In writing an autobiography, one can only observe in the breach,withoutnecessarilybeingdisrespectful,thisexcathedra dictum of a Poet Laureate and one of the greatest English men of letters. In my case, I have undertaken this task for three reasons.
