About this book
A rare presentation copy in the year of publication: “Daniel with Compliments, Elechi Amadi 30/9/73.” Though better known as a playwright and novelist, Elechi Amadi (1934-2016) was also a member of the Nigerian Armed Forces. This is his only work of non-fiction, an edited version of the diary he kept during the Biafran war. He emerged with the rank of captain. A vital figure in Nigerian life and letters. This is one of the most important, and personal accounts of the war.
