Our Work
Community Projects
At Think Yorùbá First, we are passionate about uplifting and supporting the Yorùbá community. We have undertaken various community projects, with a focus on food banks and scholarships for community members in need. We firmly believe in the power of education and access to basic necessities, and our projects aim to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families within the Yorùbá community.

01
Food Bank
One of our core initiatives is the establishment of food banks, which aim to alleviate food insecurity within the Yorùbá community. Many individuals and families struggle to meet their basic nutritional needs, which can have a profound impact on their overall well-being.
Our food banks provide a vital lifeline by distributing nutritious food and essential supplies to those facing food insecurity. Through partnerships with local businesses, organisations, and generous donors, we collect and distribute food items regularly.

02
Women Support
Women are the backbone of Yorùbá homes and markets. Our food bank deliveries reach elderly women and mothers in need, and our empowerment fund helps market women keep their trade going and support their families.

03
Scholarship
At Think Yorùbá First, we believe in nation building through community projects in our society. Unfortunately, financial constraints often prevent talented individuals within the Yorùbá community from pursuing their academic dreams. To address this, we have established a scholarship programme to support deserving students in their education.
By investing in the education of our community members, we are building a brighter future for the Yorùbá community as a whole.

04
Empowerment Programmes
Agbajowo Funds are interest-free small loans for market women throughout Yorùbáland. The fund was founded by TYF General Secretary Dr. Bukola Adeniji.
Participants have been very successful in keeping their trade going and supporting their families. The project has improved the quality of life of market women by saving them from the loan trap known as “gbọmulelanta”. Community projects like this are dear to the heart of Think Yorùbá First.
Every food parcel, scholarship and loan is made possible by people like you.
